Wearing Balenciaga aviator shearling, Rick Owens velvet dress, Damir Doma boots and Yves Saint Laurent Muse Two bag
There were three things that faithfully accompanied me through my voyage, and those were my Balenciaga aviator jacket, Damir Doma boots and YSL bag. The ever reliable shearling protected me from the cruel, biting spring drafts in various parts of the region. True to its name it was the jacket that I wore on all of my flights, partly because it was slightly bulkier than my other outerwear hence taking up more luggage space but mostly because well, it was formidably magnificent and a joy to wear. The ever-comfortable boots – I love how fiercely they assault my vision whenever I lay eyes on them – they kept my feet high and dry above puddles while adding some helpful height to my stature so I wasn’t too diminutive amongst tall Europeans. And the bag, it was roomy enough for my necessary junk despite its modest size which allowed it to squeeze underneath plane seats (saving me some costs on Wizz Air along the way). I added the shoulder strap myself to avoid the inconvenience associated with bags that rest right under the pits.
So there we go – a brief overview of my travelling formula. Aside from remaining as comfortable as my wardrobe options will allow, storage space and pockets are crucial for me so I will invariable opt for roomy garments on the go.

by Syed on June 13, 2014 at 6:22 amI love that combination of red and green. Wouldn’t mind a Rick shearling for Winter, and I really do wish I’d picked up those Damirs in plain black – by far the best platforms that have been released in a while!
Oh and giving away some of my favourite books if you should be interested to enter! http://dapperkid.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/sixth-birthday-giveaway-ima-read.html
